Having established that the fat soluble vitamins will be kept in the body for long periods of time, a lot of care needs to be taken when you are consuming them. Having excess fat soluble vitamins in the body and adding more through further intake has the ability to intoxicate your body.
A properly balanced diet might not lead to a situation of being intoxicated but if you concentrate on supplement vitamins you will intoxicate yourself. Water soluble vitamins such as vitamin C get expelled very quickly from the body and for this reason you need to have them replaced by ensuring your intake is sufficient.
